Kosha, a flat bottom boat of North Bengal both used for carrying cargo and fishing. The boat is entirely stapled and nailed. Presence of stem and stern posts. Oars are not common due to shallow depth of the river of North Bengal. Punting is the common mode of propulsion. Moving in favour of current with loaded cargo is the common practice where as moving against current is by means of towing the boat from shore. Length of the boat varies from 10 to 40 haat with a depth of just one haat.
