Betnai, a shell built riverine cargo boat of Sundarbans. Carrying capacity ranges from 3000 to 4000 mounds. Length of the boat varies from 40 to 50 haat (one haat is approximately 18 inches in length).
These boats used to carry timber and leaves from the Sundarbans. Essentially these boats propelled by a single square sail.
A triangular balanced rudder hangs from the starboard side of the boat.
